Does anyone know if the i730 is trackable if I put my sim card in it. Someone lost it and I found it. I know all the phones have IME/ME numbers but do they use them for tracking the phone in case its lost/stolen. I dont wanna get busted for some small shit.

i dont believe they are trackable. my brother got one some dropped at a club and he put his simcard inside the phone. nothing happened to him and that was in the fall last year.

yes it was an i730. plus i have a i730 and you have to sign up for the gps to work.

Bunk, I don't think you have to worry about anything except that you won't have all the features that the phone has to offer. I believe there is a security feature that allows only the original owner to have full access to all the features. We're talking little shit like downloadable pics and whatever have you.

nah stunna you can download pics and shit. the only thing that you cant have are gps and you will only have 250 phone numbers in your phone instead of 600.

Oh, alright Joker. I knew it was something along them lines. I never had one, I just know that if you found one, it limited you to most and not all features. It's stupid if you ask me,lol. Who cares if you can only have 250 opposed to 600, and no gps. Nice job, Nextel!! F'n jackasses. I bet that if you get someone who knows what they're doing, they can probably remove the filter or whatever prevents you from having the "extras."

You can turn the GPS off if you want too.Then the only people that can supposively track it is when you dial 911.

Speaking of nextel if u guys care, i found a program to shrink your pics and make them your display on they for free. and a new one to transfeer the shit to your phone, free for 7 days. If you want them just tell me, ill have to go track down the key to the wallpaper thing again, i know i saved it just forget where.

i just shrink them on photoshop and save as a gif. then use iden webjal and download pictures and songs if i want for free 24/7/365 days out of the year.
