Heard you HAVE to have the Hard Drive to have backwards compatiblity. Not deffinately sure but I think thats what I undertood

u have to have the hard drive to have backward comp. talked to someone about what ur saying bunk at a local EB. i was told it wont be for all games cuz of license issues, but as they get the license's they will release a download through xbox live so u will be able to play those games.

Shit Halo is treating me better than socom 3 is, I havent been able to connect for 3 fucking days cuz of these disconnect issues.

Of course they're going to make it hassle for backward compatibility, so that we all spend our $ on the new shit. I swear they must think that every is an idiot. Did ya'll notice the new games for the next generation consoles will be $10 more than we pay now. WTF is the deal with that?
Yeah, we know better graphics blah, blah, blah...
This is pissing me off, but I have faith in the free world hackers that will figure this out and make it possible for us to copy games and dowload free shit.

its not copying games or content....it is the license rights of the game that we will have to download.

Yeah, I didn't mean dowload the games we already have. I meant just having to download a patch, rights whatever have you just to get the console to recognize the disk is still horseshit.
I was under the impression that the high end version of the Box was going to be backward compatible as is. It still is backward compatible, but they want the users to register and go through all that crap to get info on us. That way we can't use bootleg versions and have to actually buy their products. It's getting harder to manipulate the system and easier for them to target you and lock you out.

Thats why u need to xboxes, one to play legit games, and the other to play all your bootlegs.. Funny thing is Youl use the leit one for only one online game and the bootleg on for all the copied games.

think i should preorder the 360 or wait till right after christmas when the price drops about $50. Im sure they will drop it as soon as the PS3 drops. Think so?
