Square Enix's third Final Fantasy VII revival is coming to PlayStation 2 next year, Shonen Jump reports this week. Dirge of Cerberus Final Fantasy VII -- the foretitle being one of the publisher's recent odd American trademark applications -- is a new game starring the charming anti-hero Vincent Valentine.
While exactly what genre it falls in isn't clear yet, Dirge of Cerberus is set after Final Fantasy VII Advent Children, the already-announced DVD movie sequel that takes place two years after the PlayStation game. In a time when Midgar and the world around it have finally calmed down a bit, a mysterious force attacks, forcing Vincent to give up moping in his coffin and fight to restore peace for good.

The first few screens of the game leave plenty of room for speculation -- the character of Vincent suggests a 3D action game, something in the vein of Devil May Cry, but we'll have to wait for more details before coming to a firm conclusion. Those will perhaps arrive at the Tokyo Game Show later this month, so watch out for more news shortly.

nah no thanks. i like to keep my school work seperate from my video games. if i wanted to read i would by a book. final fantasy is gay, and i'll stick with games that have action and that are actually fun.

i got off at 3 and wasnt tired and didnt have to get up for anything today so i went back on at 6 for another hour. i was on fire all night so i came back on and ended up getting off with my rank at 300.

Yung, if you've never played Final Fantasy then you have no idea what you are talking about. I didn't start played it till number ten, but that shit was cool as hell. X-2 was pretty god damn disapointing though, it was just too fucking easy. And man, number 11 was off the chain, that shit is all online, but yes after like 2 months of playing it all the time it does get kinda boring. It started taking like 5 hours to accomplish anything so I quit. But it was still the shit for a long ass time. Final Fantasy is nice though Yung, the stories are pretty cool too, and guess what Yung a lot of the stories are told to you through the speakers so you don't even have to try to read them. Maybe you should check it out when joker gets that shit, the games are tight.
