Anyone getting StarWars: BattleFront?

the HDD has nothing to do with it. the game is tight. i haven't played the one player mode yet, but the online is tight. the only thing is all the maps are respawns. but the maps are huge.

There was mad people on Socom last night saying how gay the online play is...because of the respawn...I'll have to check it out for my self....

i can take the respawn cuz the maps are so fuckin huge. how it works is your team has to get 250 kils b4 the other team. but the cool think is you play in the enviroments of the movies.

the pros to online to me are:

fast paced
huge maps
cpu has ai characters in the room also, so instead of 16 in a room it's more like 32 fighting in a huge war.
all types of characters.
you can set up the controller to any config you want (i set mine up like socom)


the cons of online to me are:

no friends list.
my mic has yet to work (and it uses mics online)


i dont know which one to put this under, but when you create a room. it will start the game with cpu guys then replace them with people as they come into the room. another thing it pretty easy to get kills. i went 28kills 6 deaths last night, in a 8 on 8 room.

the lag right now is gay and its not just comps there people and comps so u can have 12 on 12 or 24 vs comps

i like this game more now. it is easier to kill cuz of how hard it is to kill peeps in socom & these guys die almost like socom1. the mics work now and it is set up like xbox live, you dont have to hit a button to talk. you can just talk when ever. the cpu thing is only till the room starts filling up. one thing that is tight is you can fly or drive what ever vehicle is available (tanks, x-wings, at-at's, at-st's, etc). it doesn't bother me about the the no friends list, cuz in S1 we didn't have a friends list. another tight thing is the aren't multiple severs (like east9, east10 and so on), everything is one big list and you just find the room. also you can host your own sever off your cpu to make rooms so it cuts out the lag if any.

if i was to give this a score 1- 10 i would give this an 8.

Fuck what everybody say's, you want a good online experience you will rent then buy this game.

The shit is hot, respawn is a smart thing here..It is kind hard killing the cpu sometimes because they sometimes tend to hang around with a live mate, and if your shooting at the computer chances are you gonna have to shoot it out with someone else too and he may not be a computer player.

As far as the lag, it was very bad yesterday.. but thats because everyone is using the standard settings.. U want a lag free game. change your setting to 384+ or 512+.. good shit.. and the rooms are easier to scroll on this setting. after changing the settings i didn't get any lag. You gotta explore before you complain, changing the settings made my experience from frustrating to fun,, shit i spent the whole night playing with cool cats, no kids yelling on the mic and making stupid noises. Using the machines is crazy.. I ws on a speeder trying to rush to the enemys base and hit a rock,, flung upwards and hit a tree and died.. Funny it was..

not sure about the game,, rent it , but give it a real shot..

i tryed to play 1 game online in socom couldnt even last 1 round without getting booted
