It does suck to pay for the play.But you cant look at it as your buying it to play online.Just think about what your getting.They send out updates for your xbox and all the games.Unlike PS2 you dont need the HDD which is a $100.Think of how much you spent just to play online for your PS2.Well now you couldve gotten at least a year with xbox subscription.Plus the Xbox servers are so much better.No lagg in this game.However you do get the boot sometimes.But I contacted Xbox Live on the enternet and said they were working on a patch for the Xbox as we speak to resolve the problem.So quick and simple.Its worth it.

i did want to get xbox but at this point, unless ps2 merged with xbox or somethin and transfered all of their games over (cuz xbox has nothin that i really care to even look at besides halo), it wont happen. hopefully by the time the new generation consoles drop they will have reconsidered charging people to play online cuz lets be real, i aint buyin it to play single player mode, thats what i have a ps2 for and xbox games have pretty much nothin on ps2 games besides slightly better graphics. ps2 was stupid for chargin so much for the network adaptar and hdd, but at least i know i wont have to pay them anything at the end of the year, or anytime after that to play the games i already have.

you dont even realize you are paying a fee, cuz after the first month you forgot all about that. the friends list is crazy in itself. i can go on my cpu and see who is playing online. ars you are right about how much sony charged for the ps2 adapter. but i don't think sony is going to be any smarter about their systems. take the new ps2 for instence, here is the chance to put the hdd and network inside it. no, you just get the network . take stunna for example his ps2 is shitting the bed, now he can't get the older style ps2 anymore, just the new one. now he paid that $$ for the hdd and won't be able to use it. the $$ we all spent to play socom online (w/the new maps), we could have paid for 3 years on xbox live.  but what it comes down to is, to each their own. even tho we play socom together arsenal, it would be cool to play other games online with ya.  |

wait a minute, u cant use the hdd with the new ps2? and they stopped makin the old ones? how much sense does that make? i'll never buy an hdd then. my ps2 is all old what if it shuts down.

dont know what planet you guys live on, but they still sell the old ps2. youre lucky if you can find anymore slim ps2s in most places.

around our areas in mass. they only sell the new ps2's from what stunna says & was told from someone at eb games. i know you can't find them at best buy, cuircut city, eb games or gamestop in our area. maybe they were sold out. |
