LOL, I own a 360, I dont use it much, its ok. I actually might need to call microsfot for it soon, I was playing the other night for the first time in like a month and man did that bitch get hot and the screen started getting shaded at the top, we'll see. Imma play Outfit later and see if it does it on that. LOL, look Joker I finally bought a 360 game, I'll play and get some point on day.
On the PS3 though, from what my Sony is telling me we're looking at like 425 right now. They don't wanna go much higher then the 360, they would loose sales, but if they put all the shit they want in it I gather it may cost Sony like 900-1000 just to make one. I hear they are taking some shit out of it and redoing a bunch of crap and blah blah blah. One of the guys at the store near me though says they have a working model in VA, no more then like an hour or two from me and he wants to go on a field trip to go check it out, so as soon as Sony sends my damn broken ass camera back to me I'm down to go with him and I'll take pictures and tell you gusy whats up, but he may just be bullshitting and tryin to get me to go on a road trip, but fuck it, I'll take one for the team and see if its the truth. And anyway, I'm tryin to check this shit out. But start talkin to your local EB's and Gamestops guys, I wanna know what they are saying about PS3 preordered, word on the street is it ain't gonna happen. And man does that suck! So let me know what yours are saying, lol, I think my new store manager is bullshitting, but I don't know he's telling all the customers no preorders ever also, so we will see.

Hey looky at me imma a postin maw!
I felt the need to post b'cuz i for 1 am sick of hearing and reading all these PS# quotes. Heres a fact: "Sony aint tellin A-N-Y-O-N-E the price. Now when I say anyone this includes the own project guys, game developers, sales reps, their own magazine, E3 wannabee insiders, web-browsing forum-reading magazine-buying, tech-tv watching Bunk, nor EB Gamestop, Walmart, Dirty Franks or any retail store. Once again they aint telling ANYONE! This has become the price is right...yes someone will be right because there are quotes from $1 - $1500 some is gonna be right, not because they had the inside but because they guessed right. Only thing they confirmed is that their will be a gloabal release which will undoubtably translate into shortages. In the end multi-million dollar ships dont carry loose lips and plug leaks, ppl get paid alotta dough to to keep it tight and i dont think hookin up joe blow is worth their pension. do you? muffin sorry to hear that about ur 360, but mine has been going strong since i bought it. is yours in a enter ctr if so there should be a lot of room round it or u will run into problems. you should get one of these they sell it at eb. plus i dont understand how u have had a 360 for months and u cop a game for it just now. buy it to play halo2 on it, no sence to me. EB says come talk to them the end of may for preorders on ps3. we have been talking about the ps3 in the allied forum for a while now. but here is a small article that was done in england by a sony guy. so hate to burst ur bubble muffin but it aint that 425 price ur sayin. Sony Europe VP Hints at PS3 Price Range System could come in around $600 U.S. dollars. by Jeff Haynes April 5, 2006 - During a radio interview with Générations Europe 1 yesterday, Georges Fornay, the president of Sony Computer France and the vice-president of Sony Computer Entertainment Europe, alluded to the possible price-point for the PS3's worldwide November launch (in addition to a few other details). Along with explaining that the system is the only next-generation system thanks to its implementation of Blu-ray and full HD visuals (as well as praising the other features of the console), he also explained that the delay of the system was due to the finalizing of digital rights management for the Blu-ray standard. When asked about the rumors that the console would cost around 500 dollars, Fornay stated, "Well, listen, if we take into account Blu-ray, HD, we see Blu-ray players at 1000 euros or more, [PS3] will be extremely cheap when compared to that. When we look at the gaming aspect, it is true that today consoles were generally well below 500 euros (roughly $614 U.S.), and I would say that we will be in this price range. It will be costly for a game console and extremely cheap when we look at the technologies it will integrate." This is definitely the most specific information yet provided about Sony's upcoming system since Ken Kutaragi's comments about wanting "Consumers to think to themselves 'I will work more hours to buy one.'" While there has been no official response from SCEA on Fournay's comments, it is only fair to guess that the price won't necessarily remain as high as it will be in Europe when the system hits American shores given the history of cheaper U.S. launch prices for Sony consoles. so if this price holds true, i will not be copiin a ps3 till it comes down in price around the xbox 360.

also liquid is right about shortages...bunk posted a article in the allied forum that sony will start production in may. i laugh at this, cuz they want to do a world launch in november...maybe the biggest console shortage yet.

LMAO...bullshit....here is what the PS3 looked like at a recent game convention. the box dont look anything like what they are saying it will when it drops. the unit will mos def change but this is what they are bringing to show at shows, and are running form this. so i hardly doubt they have a working one at a EB in VA, or in any retail store for that matter. they have also said they are changing the boomerang controller also. no development came with it, they are using the ps2 controllers.

Heres some layman terms for whats really going on.
Sony guy in the UK: He guessing. because thats their goal to come in around that price range, but due to the fact that until they decide on a final production cost (ie. what they will put in and what they wont) nobody can say how much it will cost.
World wide realease: This means you aint getting one.
Blu-ray regional free laser technology: This means Ebay is gonna be off the charts with this thing!!!!!!!!!!! No long do you have to contend with the US playstaion ppl selling for incredible amounts but since its region free that means everyone in the world will be able to cash in on Americans "must have it for x-mas" fever.
EB in VA: excuse to get you to a rest area off the highway and ch..ch..chooooo, choooooo!
SONY: innovator in the revolution from tapes to a wierd thing calld CDs. Innovator from VHS to these DVD thingies (that will never catch on huh?), Music Industry monster, Entertainmant giant, front runner in new HD technologies. If they say Blu-Ray is the future you might wanna start lookin into it. What you will be purchasing isn't a game machine its an entertainment console with the newest shit in it, so expect to pay up for it
personally I have been putting off buying my surround sound, HD DVD player and Game console to see how much PS3 would save me, assuming I do save.
can't believe I finally got sucked into postin on this shit.

"EB in VA: excuse to get you to a rest area off the highway and ch..ch..chooooo, choooooo!" this comment is fuckin killin me....LMFAO

LOL on the mini disc thing..I bought one right after Joker...we were like yeah...this is hot...it came with the mini disc walkman too...what a waste of $300 bucks...!! It did catch on though...in Europe...you can buy Artist CD's on it...it's not as big as CD's there..but it did alot better there then here....BTW...I love the line in Muffin's post...I'll qoute it..."On the PS3 though, from what my Sony is telling me we're looking at like 425 right now." It's the "My" and the "We're" that are killing me...

Hmm the mini disc...yeah they did catch a bad one on that (lucky I aint get one). As we move into the HD world all next-gen DVD are gonna be HD thats not even an issue. The issue at hand is which HD format will prevail, will it be HD-DVD or Blu-Ray?
HD-DVD: Backed by Toshiba, NEC, Sanyo, Universal Studios, Paramount Pictures, Warner Bros., and New Line Cinema
Blu-Ray: Backed by Dell, HP, Hitachi, LG, Mitsubishi, Panasonic, Pioneer, Philips, Samsung, Sharp, Sony, TDK, Thomson, Apple, FOX, and Walt Disney
HD DVD: 15GB per layer(supports 2 layers) and should be cheaper to manufacture
Blu-Ray: 25GB / layer, has been demonstrated to support up to eight layers
I believe that HD_DVD is like "Betamax" and Blu-Ray is like "VHS" the comparisons on price and capacity and sponsorship backing are very very similar. Now lets talk turkey, I totally understand the pricing issue you point out Joker and for the most part...I agree. I also agree that aint no kid gonna get a ps3 for x-mas.....you are!!! The average gamer aint a kid, recent studies and polls put gamers at 25-33 years old! that means we got jobs and it is these very ppl that are buying 360's right? okay okay check this out: The 1 outta 4 ps2/homes ratio is because it playstaion caters to all ages immediately making it a selling point among consoles. Nintendo caters to children, XBox caters to adults, PS says "spend a lil more here and everyone is happy" Do the have the best graphic? No. Do they have the best funfactor? No.Are they 1 in every 4 homes? Hell yeah! that my friends is marketing genuius, until they show me different you gotta bet on a proven winner. I'm not lobbying for the PS3 but I am saying lets just wait and see. I remember having these same convo's over the XBox and PS2 ($300!!!! nobody will pay that!!!!! look at us now) - * a moment of silence for the mini-disc*
