but we will have to wait and see who wins the war on hd_dvd and blu-ray. but i do hope sony doesnt come with a ridiculous price, cuz if it is 600 i will wait for it to come down alittle. but i did pay 300 for the ps2 the day it dropped.
so we will have to wait and see what sony announces at E3 in 20 days. and let the nex-gen wars begin, but i will be safe cuz i will get both. LOL

There will never be a clear winner PS2 out sold so ppl will say they won, XBox had superior graphix and online play so ppl will say they won, Nintendo had funfactor and cheapest tag so ppl will say they won. Its all goes by what your looking for and which console meets those needs. oooh and i forgot to mention the PSP best thing to happen to handhelds since "Head to Head Football" Sony is constantly looking to have ur game system do more. PSP not just boasts superior gaming but went wi-fi, internet and Movies (BTW the UMD might be on the same track as the mini-disc at least thats what "my" ppl tell me so "we" are very sceptical). You will pay $600 if it got the hottest options plus you save a bit on games because supposedly it will enhance some PS2 and PS1 games to near HD quality, so no need to run out and buy next-gen games just so you can have a reason to play ur PS3 ahhh i dunno
whats real is that ppl who love one console or another will stay loyal. People who spent $$ on the 360 aint gettin PS3 if the price is high, others who didn't will becuase they ain't down $500 already (360 plus some games) ooh and Yung aint getting either till he gets a job!!!! hood too.

LOL, I own a 360, I dont use it much, its ok. I actually might need to call microsfot for it soon, I was playing the other night for the first time in like a month and man did that bitch get hot and the screen started getting shaded at the top, we'll see. this has been a know problem with halo, something to do with the backwards compat. so it aint the system and heat. |

Good call Joker, I'll play another game on it sometime this week. Thats why I haven't called microsoft yet, and the fact that you have to hold for like a half an hour just to talk to someone. The one he says in Va isn't at an EB or any of retailer place. Sony has a warehouse or some shit in VA I don't know, I don't ask questions. I'm gonna talk to my Sony Rep about it when she shows up next month to see if its true and if it is hopefully I'll have my camera back by then and I guess I'll go on a road trip. Not sure what we'll talk about for two hours to get there, but lol, I could talk to a wall huh? So I think I'll be ok.
As far as the price, they are dumb if they go more then 500, the 360 set the price at 400, Sony will loose mad sales if they go higher. The shortage is in fact very true, we have already been recieving shit about it at work, they are saying no more then 1 million on launch, but if they can get out 1 million thats better the the 360. The 360 launched 400 thousand in the states even though they said one million. So Sony could always follow suit and take back there word, and at the same time, the shit didn't say 1 million in the states it just said 1 million, so that may be the world wide amount, they did not specify. And as of yesterday my new store manager said that Eb and Gamestop will not be doing preorders on the PS3 due to a lack of supply and they don't wanna have a launch like the 360 where people's preorders weren't met until April when it launched in November. Personally I don't think he actually heard that yet I think he just thinks it, keep in mind my new store manager is a moronic jackass, so I'm not sure yet. We should be hearing for sure soon though, if we are gonna preorder it should start next month, but I'm not ure if we are yet. I'll find out for you though guys, 'cause I know I ain't waiting outside anywhere to buy this shit, fuck that.

Now when I say anyone this includes the own project guys, game developers, sales reps, their own magazine, E3 wannabee insiders, web-browsing forum-reading magazine-buying, tech-tv watching Bunk, nor EB Gamestop, Walmart, Dirty Franks or any retail store. Once again they aint telling ANYONE! This has become the price is right...yes someone will be right because there are quotes from $1 - $1500 some is gonna be right, not because they had the inside but because they guessed right. Only thing they confirmed is that their will be a gloabal release which will undoubtably translate into shortages. In the end multi-million dollar ships dont carry loose lips and plug leaks, ppl get paid alotta dough to to keep it tight and i dont think hookin up joe blow is worth their pension. do you? "We" and "Me" are running this shit.. "I" know for sure that Hd vs BRD will not see a winner until about early next year, by that time both platforms will be out, ps3 and hd on the xbox.
In my eyes BRD already won because of the sheer size of it.
Oh by the way, there was an argument on the ps2 forums about the true amount of ps2's sold world wide. They say that that true number is a lie. reason being, more than 25 percent of those numbers are from users who bought a second and third ps2 cuz their shit BROKE!!!!!!! I know a few cats who won't call support for their shit, they chuck it and get a new one, shit I got 3 broken ps2's in my crib right now. The reason most users dont call it in when their shit breaks, be it real issue or the DRe is because they got mod chips in them and voided the warranty. #1? Sure in the broken department.. Thank god I'm still on my first ps2.

#2. they may know final production cost, but I bet they stiill are working w/in a small range (not an exact $ amt yet)
#3. Nobody knows if they did then we would have a price. Microsoft depended on alot of outside contractors (loose lips) for their parts like graphic cards, prosessors, power supplies etc.. however, before the 360 dropped we all heard its price and it was the same price every place you looked. So it was obvious that someone reliable had leaked it, this ps3 bullshit is 40 different prices from forty different sources---all BS. Like I said someone is bound to be right

I agree that Blu-ray will win but it will be a war based on the amount of movie studios that sign on with HD, although a few didnt sign exclusive deals.
Although the numbers may be tainted, Playstaion clearly out sold the Box so don't even bother with that arguement.

Its hard not to sound pro PS in here though because there is so many ppl out their who have the 360 and hatin on those who don't and are waiting to see the other consoles.
I'm waiting because I honestly believe that Sony will put out a better product. My reasons are
Playstion is a MAJOR part of Sonys yearly revenue. I find it hard to believe that these ppl would shoot their cash cow.
Xbox doesn't hold as much of Gates's pocket and Windows and related software. They have less to fight for as far coming in first in the console war (as long as they sell tons of units its a worthy investment)
Nintendo is tottally reliable on gaming to pay rent so I would expect them to spend their last penny into keeping up and dropping a hot product for the kids and lesser spenders.
To me XBox = best graghics and best online format. Nintendo= cheap and fun gaming. PS= the middle ground between XBox and Nintendo with more games.
Once again this is my personal opinion and the reason for my decision to wait....Now i'm sure someone wants to argue "my opinion"

Think about it. Size of media aside, BRD will win only because Sony is a conglomerate, they have both businesses on lock, music and movies, they own so many movie companies, almost everyone is " A sony company" if you will.. Thats my reasoning behind that. I wish they would choose one and be done with it. Since they wont, I'll get the external HD player for the 360 and the BRD built into the PS3.
The PS3 online hub, if done correct will have a direct connection with sony "media services" (movies and music). But given the respect sony gives the community and companies give the gamers, we may get FUCKED if they don't make us pay for it. If they get our annual sub, that money can go into maintaining and expanding the onlise service. I'm tired on playing on free gamespy servers that have more lag then socom 2, and u know thats bad.
Xbox live is the epitomy of good online gaming, I want sony up there too. I want my 2 console to be the best of both worlds, not where I hate 1 and love the other.
I'm niterested in seeing the type of games revolution will drop.
Joker whats that site addy, I need 3 lasers and assemblies..
