i am not anti ps2. i just think this was sony's chance to make a better ps2. i play ps2 more then any other console. i personally think the new slim playstation is dumb. who needs a thinner ps2. the shit gets set up beside your tv and wha-la. my ps2 hasn't moved from it's spot in about a year. people don't decide to buy a video game console cuz of it's size.

i know a lot of people that bought the slim ps2 because of its size. i have one friend who has it in his car, and most others have it just to take to school and back. ps2 is better than xbox, the only thing xbox has is halo. some of the multi platform games are better on xbox, but when it comes down to it, the quality of games on ps2 destroys xbox. name a game that people are really excited to play now or in the near future for xbox besides halo... im sure its much easier to do for ps2.

rainbow six and splinter cell series, ninja gaiden. and now that ea sports has their sports games online, more cats are buying them for xbox cuz of the graphics. but me personally, i don't care witch one is better, cuz i bought all 3 systems. so i can play what ever hot game is out on any system. plus i like the old ps2's in a car's cuz you can put them flush mount in rides(like dash or fiberglass setup). the new slim one in it's own way takes up more room, cuz you have fliptop door to put your games in.

the only xbox exclusive game you mentioned was ninja gaiden, and even that not too many people care about. what xbox game has been proven to be a REALLY GREAT XBOX EXCLUSIVE GAME besides halo? nothing. they might as well call it halo box and say it has great graphics, cuz their originality sucks a big goat dick. its already known that xbox has more capabilties than a standard ps2, but that aint helpin them make good games. lets remember that ps came out first, so it would only make sense that microsoft would follow them with a stronger system.

shit, in terms of quality franchise games, xbox isnt even on nintendo status yet.

well as far as sales go: ps2 is first, xbox second, and nintendo a distant third (sales haven't been good since the n64). but to each their own, xbox is more geared toward first person shooters like one's on the pc's. there are more pc gamers that have xbox's. also alot of third party companies don't make for the xbox on one sole thing. that is it has the word "MICROSOFT" in it's name. they know how controlling microsoft is and all the BS they have done and pulled. i seen a show on g4/tech tv about the company that makes an exclusive xbox title called "mechassualt", they have a huge fan base (i would have never thought, cuz i don't play those games). the company made for sega dreamcast & ps1. microsoft intern approached them about making it exclusive for xbox, after the game was all set. they then bought out the company and moved all the employees from NY to washington (the state). microsoft has a rep for working with companies then forcing them to sell. from computer products to video game products.

i say fuck microsoft, but in the same breath it means nothing cuz bill got us all by the balls. cuz we all have to use some type of microsoft product if we like it or not.

in terms of sales, yes thats a given. but the point is the quality of games. xbox cant even compete with nintendo on that level, not even mentioning that nintendo focuses on kiddy games. mechassault has been around for a while as a pc game, and if not for that no one would care. its still not a premier xbox game. if it is, how many people do you know that own it or even care?

back to the point of all this: PS2 games > Xbox games.
for every 1 good xbox game that comes out, theres at least 5 for ps2. look at any game console website or magazine, and look at the reviews and hype the games get and you'll see the difference.

i hear you on the quality of games from xbox and ps2. me personally, i have about 30 ps2 games and only 11 xbox games. that doesn't mean the xbox isn't a good system. i just feel the xbox focuses more on pc based gamers (with the type of shooters the have) they have a bigger list and better quality of first person shooters then ps2, which pc gamers love. plus the proof is coming soon with with xbox 2. one of the xbox 2 versions with be full compatible with pc games.

there will always be a debate, what is a better system. ps2, xbox, or nintendo(yes i have heard cats say this is better). i used to always say ps2 is better and would never buy an xbox. but one day i said fuck it and bought one, and to be honest i am glad i have all 3. i know don't care what one is better cuz i'll just cop a game for any system that as a good game.

Dont hate..on the xbox. I was always a ps2 fan, but they fucking suck when it comes to innovation. First the hdd fucking blows horse shit. There are only a couple games that actually utilize it and I only play 1 of them, and on top of that we only have 3 maps for it..

2nd,, PS2 does have multi lattidute of games geared for every player, but they fucking suck when it comes to adaptation.. Why dont they make certain requirements..
For instance, Battlefront, it doesnt even have a bubby list,, how the fuck are you supposed to fond anyone online. All online games should have stuck to the same principle.. Friends list. Socom has it, but then again its is pretty much the only one detailed enuff.. Ghost recon 2 sucks on it, They had to continue the first person online, why the hell couldn't they make it over the shoulder like xbox did? dont say cuz xbox hardware is better, that dont matter socom is 3rd person...

3rd,, u will always hate till u try it... I bought it and i actually enjoy myself xbox more than ps2.. U get what u pay for...service..

i stated that xbox has better capabilties, THEIR GAMES SUCK!!!! in terms of the hdd, while we can all say "wtf did they even bother to release it for?" we can also blame socom for being the reason that we bought the stupid thing, not sony as a company. to this point its been a waste, but technically its still to early to tell what else it can/will do when applied right. ps3 doesnt come out till late 2006 early 2007, whos to say they wont do anything else with the hdd between now and then? did we even read the topic heading? possibilities ladies!!!

battlefront? ghost recon? i couldve told you both of those games were garbage before you wasted your $54 on them, hence i didnt purchase those piece of trash games. they dont compare to socom, so why even go out and buy something like that thinkin otherwise?

ive tried xbox, and i dont care for it because of its lack of games. i wont be buyin a system to play one game. i like my ps2 and i am getting what i paid for, you dont hear me complainin about my ps2. you guys just seem to whine about it so much that i wonder why you even keep buyin games for the system...coincidence? and dont tell me "everyone else has ps2 so i want to play with them" bullshit, if its as great as you claim all those other people would be playin it with you.

i own 3 ps2s and a gamecube. xbox will not get my money just so i can play halo and then a bunch of varient 1st person and 3rd person shooters.

well ars all i can say is fuck u. ps2 has nothing on xbox ps2 online blows all game are diff online, xbox u can see where or what game there on at any time and just about all games that r good come out for both ps2 and xbox. so duh xbox games would be better so suckkkkkk it!!!!!!!

wow, so the saving feature for xbox is a buddylist? please, is everyone that lonely and retarded that you couldnt find someone if they wanted to? i dont know if you noticed, but there are other games on these systems that dont have online features. would anyone care if you couldnt play online? would the games get better? dont kid yourself.

san andreas is coming out on xbox in june, but by that time who hasnt played it yet? and what spectacular feature will i be missing 8-9 months after i already played it? ohhh maybe ill get to play it online, and use my buddylist to find everyone!
