everyone has been postin a lot in the high rank and private board, so i figured id get somethin started for all the SGP fans on the web!! LOL
i dont know about the rest of you but im hearin all kinds of things about this new hard drive, but i havent had the chance to actually do much research on its capabilities so if anyone hears anything or finds anything post it here. theres only a few days left till this "Socom2 LifeSaver" drops so lets get crackin!!!
this is what ive heard so far:
it will come built in with FFXI (obviously) and patches for numerous online games, most importantly, SOCOM. the drive will have the capability of downloading demos (eventually) and will allow you to send and store pics on your ps2. in addition, you will be able to store music on your hd (just like XBOX) and create soundtracks for your games (imagine playin SOCOM while listening to Yanni...gives me chills up my spine just thinkin about it...or if Yanni isnt your thing, theres always that Hanson for the Tank in you, or the Vanilla Ice for all those Trigga's out there...whichever way you decide to go, just remember that the "lil soldiers need love too" so you gotta have that Lil Romeo on there (that was for you Stunna, dont worry, your signed poster is in the mail!!). LMFAO. ok, back to the topic, it will also allow you to play games that would normally require a lot of space on your memory cards due to graphic features and so on, which is a definite bonus. more recently, i was told that the hd will have a significant effect on the amount of lag that you see in online games, so no more of that shoot the guy that has his back to you and 3 secs later youre dead and hes down the street on crossroads.
thats about all i can think of as of now, so add your input if i missed anything. i have to "go back to work" now, so ill holla!!!
